Federated Data Management Pilot Project

The project is driven by the forecasted introduction of a requirement for research data management plans to be included with research grant applications.

The major goal of the pilot is to explore the use of tools from existing data repositories to serve a wider community of researchers and to develop the library- based services that will allow researchers to develop and implement effective data management plans.

The pilot will be carefully documented so that recommendations can be developed to scale services to meet a growing cohort of researchers.

Partners in the federated pilot include Project ARC of CARL, CANARIE, Compute Canada, CANFAR, C-Brain, Canadian Polar Data Network, Archivematica, and Islandora.
